Adventure and Networking at Iguazu Falls National Park
Wednesday, September 19, 1:30 pm–6:30 pm
Dear IRRS participants,
We have negotiated three tours for the afternoon of Wednesday (September 19), aiming to provide an opportunity for you to see the best of Foz do Iguazu while interacting with other participants. We hope you have fun and find the chance to meet new friends and possibilities for your work on ruminant reproduction.
The packs below include transport from and back to the hotel (Wish Golf Resort and Convention; leaving at 1:30 pm and returning at 6:30 pm), entrance tickets for the national park (which gives access to the trail to Iguazu Falls), three alternative inside tours and attractions (see descriptions attached and at http://www.cataratasdoiguacu.com.br), skip-the-line entrance to the park, and an English-speaking guide who will introduce you to the park and direct you to your tour. After your tour, you can enjoy the trail to the falls, where you will find bars, restaurants, and gift shops.
We hope you understand that due to the national park’s policy, entrance tickets for foreign visitors are a little more expensive, and for this reason overall prices below differ for Brazilian and foreign participants.
Tours and respective prices:
- Boat trip, Macuco Safari: R$345.45 (foreigners); R$321.45 (Brazilians)
Note: This is a fantastic thrill in which a powerful boat takes you to the feet of the falls.
- Black Well Trail: R$280.00 (foreigners); R$256.00 (Brazilians)
Note: This tour takes around 3 to 4 hours. Therefore, if you choose to take this tour you may not have enough time to take the trail to the falls. If you have seen the falls before, this would be a good alternative.
- Bird Park: R$175.00 (foreigners); R$151.00 (Brazilians)
Reservations shall be done by email with Ms. Fabiane (firstname.lastname@example.org). A credit card form shall be sent upon request for payment. Further information about payment can also be obtained by cell phone/WhatsApp: 55-45-999790260.
Macuco Safari Boat Trip
The "waterfall shower" is indescribable! Everything begins with a ride in an electric open car, where you will receive information about the plants and animals living in the area. Next, there is an option to walk a 600-meter trail through the woods to get to the boat ride. To end the adventure, you get on a fast boat that takes you along the Iguazu River, getting as close as possible to the falls. You will get thrilled and wet!
Black Well Trail—Excitement and Adventure
You can choose to walk, cycle, or ride an electric jeep to cover a 9-kilometer trail in the heart of Iguazu National Park. Then you can choose to take a motorized boat or to paddle on a duck (inflatable boat) or kayak to explore the top part of the Iguazu River. All activities are done under the supervision of specialized professionals who will make this trip an unforgettable adventure.
The Parque das Aves is an internationally recognized rescue and conservation center for birds, located in the middle of the rich and exuberant rainforest at Iguazu National Park. It is an essential tour for bird lovers and watchers, as around 150 different bird species can be admired in the park. An area of 16.5 hectares of Atlantic rainforest is carefully maintained to provide the best habitat for the birds.
